Handmade fused glass gifts are gradually being added to the shop

Hello all,

I am, at last, getting some of my fused glass uploaded to the shop. There is a new section, called Fused Glass Gifts.

Since getting my second kiln, I have been very busy making lots of new things &, as I type, both kilns are up & running & (hopefully) some nice fused glass pieces will be revealed in the morning when the kilns are cool enough to open. I think every glass fuser will say the opening of the kiln is like Christmas morning. You just hope the surprises are good ones…

I also attend a glass workshop once a month on a Saturday. We all do our own thing, but it is nice to see what others are making & the studio has a very big kiln, which is useful for making larger projects

As previously mentioned, although I am not actually a shop, in-person customers are welcome as I do have a display of both jewellery & glass in my office/workshop. I am happy for you to pop in, but if you are coming any distance please give me a ring first to make sure I am there prior to turning up as I sometimes take my pop-up shop to events. I do have a card machine in the office to take payments (cash is also welcome) & there is free parking on site. You can also make purchases on the website & select the collect option when checking out. That way you save on postage costs. We are on a completely flat level from the car park into the building

My jewellery & glass is now for sale in Riseley Village Tea Room. I can definitely recommend a visit to the tea room. It’s a lovely little place with proper old-fashioned table settings & real china. Not to mention the cakes! From personal experience, I can vouch that the cakes are delicious & the cream teas are to die for. All made by lovely Debbie who runs the tea room. If you plan to visit, do check the opening times because it’s not open every day. The website is www.riseleyvillagetearoom.co.uk & all details, opening times etc are on there.

And that is all from me for now! I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, even if it is still a bit chilly at the top & tail of the day. It’s just nice to have blue skies, longer days & pretty spring flowers everywhere. We even had swallows flying over at work today, although I am aware of the “One swallow does not a summer make” saying.

Till next time…
